Hana To Arisu

I decided to buy this movie even though I never even heard of it. The movie seemed cool and I had some money left, so I thought, why not buy it? I'm so glad I did, 'cause I instantly fell in love with it. The whole atmosphere is very dreamy and calming. The visuals are breathtaking, especially during the ballet scene near the end. I never saw a scene from a movie that was so inspiring and so wonderfully done.

What is it about?

The story is about Hana and Alice who are best friends. Every day they take the metro together to got to school. Then one day they notice a guy. The girls think he's cute, especially
Hana. Then one day she sees him walking down the street reading a book. So immersed in the story he hits his head and doesn't seem to remember anything. Hana helps him and when he asks who she is she introduces herself as his girlfriend. Hana doesn't tell anyone, not even Alice at first. But when Alice decides to help to try and regain the boy's memory, the two fall in love. Alice who was introduced to the boy as his ex, therefore gets in a bit of a fight with Hana. At the end she learns about the truth and she can't lie to the boy anymore, so she tells hime what's really going on. This makes the friendship between the two girls even worse. Eventually everything turns out okay and the boy forgives Hana for her actions, Alice gets to be on the cover of a magazine and she and Hana become great friends again.

Final Verdict: ****1/2

I loved it. It's definitely a new favourite of mine. It's an excellent film. Very different and really
sweet. It was a really nice surprise to find out how cool this film is. Maybe in the future I will decide to buy a movie again that i haven't ever heard of. But now I know this film, i guess I need to spread the word. It's spectacular, spectacular!
